Customized Corporate Plans
Healthcare for Business has the welfare of both company and employee as a top priority. Your goal and ours is to avoid work related injury or illness but, when they do occur, we want to oversee the treatment in a way that brings the employee back healthy and productive as quickly as possible.

By knowing your business and the medical concerns unique to it, we know when to recommend an employee returns to work. We don't want to bring them back too soon and cause further harm nor do we want to miss the opportunity to bring them to full productivity because of neglecting to schedule timely reviews. We're equipped to oversee all your Occupational Health issues.

    • On-site Presence
    • Walk-through Evaluations
    • Worksite Evaluations
    • Consultations
    • Represent company in all aspects of corporate health.
    • Review all company policy in respect to health and regulations governing employer and corporate responsibilities under OSHA and other organizations and associations that dictate responsibilities to the employer and employee.
    • Evaluation of all aspects of employee health that impact the ability of the employee to provide normal, productive work time to the company.
          A. The company is expected to alert the company physician of all work related injury, as soon as is practical, and have employee records and/or the employee himself evaluated by the physician in a timely fashion to determine when the employee can return to work and/or whether further treatment needs to be extended to the employee to expedite his return to work. (See memo on acute injury and follow up examination)
          B. All employees off work due to an injury/illness should be seen initially and followed on a regular basis until return to regular work. The company physician will communicate with physician(s) or other service agents (physical therapists, rehabilitation agencies, etc.) to maintain current status of treatment and alert these entities of availability of transitional work duties available in the company. Fitness for duty will ultimately be established by the company with the input of information through the company physician.
The formation of a Medical Review Committee is recommended to regularly update all officials of the current status of open BWC (Bureau of Workers Compensation) cases and establish plans for further management. The committee may consist of representatives of human resources, supervisors, corporate officials, company physician, etc.
    • Perform pre-placement examinations for the company as determined by company policy. (If pre-placement exams are performed by other clinical personal, the company physician will review these exams and any testing before a decision on placement is made.)
    • Review all clinical tests performed on a pre-placement, periodic or random exam to determine the relationship to fitness for duty.
    • Serve as Medical Review Officer (MRO) for the company.
    • Provide testing services to the company, through the company physician’s office, for drug and alcohol evaluations (DOT and non-DOT), pulmonary function studies, vision testing, hearing evaluations, EKG’s and other available services.
    • Perform an annual walk-through of company facilities and document findings in a report to the company following the walk-through.
    • Attend selected safety committee meetings.
    • Provide services to the company as desired for annual flu shots, hepatitis vaccinations, instructional sessions or arranging for outside vendors (on-site audiology exams, screenings, back school etc.)
    • Professional fee coverage of all company physician activity will be by arrangement with the company and the company physician through a contract signed by both parties on an annual or extended basis. (See company contract). An optional retainer fee will cover all services listed in the contract and include the activities and duties covered in this document with the exception of in-office exams and testing. (MRO) duties may be included in the retainer fee if negotiated with the company physician. Fee for service rates are an option for the company and determined by the contractual terms.
